Steve will have leadership responsibility for Johnson & Johnson accounting policy development and implementation, and for advising our global finance teams on technical accounting and reporting matters. Steve will also serve as the chair and lead representative on several external industry organizations that engage with accounting standard setters and regulatory agencies to help shape accounting rules and new public company reporting requirements. Steve and his team will continue to provide accounting support for our significant business transactions across the enterprise and will now also provide enhanced support on accounting matters within our regions to ensure policies are clearly understood and compliance in reported results continues to be maintained in an increasingly complex environment at the local level. Throughout his career, Steve has consistently demonstrated outstanding accounting skills and strong business partnering skills in building important relationships with key internal and external stakeholders which will serve him well in this new expanded role.Steve joined Johnson & Johnson in April 2005 from Dendrite, and since 2010 has served as Senior Director responsible for our Worldwide Financial Compliance and Procedures Group. Steve also worked for Lucent and AT&T and in public accounting (Coopers&Lybrand, now PriceWaterhouseCoopers). Steve received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from St. John’s University. He is a certified public accountant in New York and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
