I’m currently a Fellow at the Shiv Nadar University School of Law, Chennai. As an aspiring legal academic, I am spending this fellowship assisting faculty with teaching, pedagogy and curriculum development and academic policies, while I complete my LLM (Master of Laws) program in Innovation, Technology and the Law from the University of Edinburgh (completing August 2025). My research interests include data protection and privacy legal theory and compliance, examining regulation and innovation as co-dependent processes, and the dynamics between information, power, and society. I hope to formulate courses on the intersection between law and emerging technologies, and work on updating existing legal courses to reflect the latest technological developments. I’ve worked on the development of India’s Data Empowerment Architecture Framework, surveillance law reform, cybersecurity policies and Digital Public Infrastructure.
