Current• Drafted the Request for Expressions of Interest for the City’s security deposit alternatives initiative, which produced a publicly available list of three pre-qualified service providers. • Helping develop a rent reporting pilot project at select HPD- and HDC-financed developments. • Reviewed and summarized ADU policies in peer states and cities to inform agency feedback on potential state-level ADU legislation. • Developed a summer fellowship program with the City College of New York to add an additional pipeline for MPA students to enter public service, with the first cohort of two fellows beginning this summer. • Supervise graduate fellows and interns on team and individual projects and help them navigate agency bureaucracy. • Interview prospective interns and employees with colleagues and supervisors.• Maintain financial models used to project building level outcomes for the City’s housing tax incentive programs. • Review draft legislation to determine how it would affect HPD’s operations and the City’s housing market. • Collaborate with the Chief Sustainability Officer on agency-wide sustainability initiatives and property level estimates of the universe subject to element of the City’s building emissions law. • Build datasets and create maps using NYC DOF, DCP, and HPD data to determine which properties and areas will be affected by proposed policy changes.• Present policy recommendations and analysis to senior agency and city leadership including deputy commissioners and the commissioner of housing.
