Team Services Pool Co-Ordinator
Working within the Event Delivery team for the Rugby World Cup 2015, where I was responsible for the successful coordination of the facilities, services and operational requirements for 5 of the participating international teams including the winning team, New Zealand, plus Argentina, Georgia, Tonga and Namibia.Working closely alongside the Pool Manager, the role included direct liaison with the 5 Head Coaches and Team Managers to discuss and implement their bespoke requirements and act as their first point of contact in the lead up to, and during, the tournament. This included planning and delivering essential team requirements for over 250 high profile individuals, including team security, team vehicles and transport, accommodation, international arrival, hydration, nutrition, stadium set-up and services, freight logistics and accreditation.In addition to this key focuses included contract management of 11 Team Bases and 16 hotels, where I was responsible for coordinating the provision and booking of elite training facilities, equipment and pitches prior to team arrival. As well as recruitment and training of 31 paid staff including Team Liaison Officers, Team Base Coordinators and Team Security Advisors, all working to plan and deliver an exceptional event.
