Shayan Roohani graduated from the University of Irvine, California (UCI), with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. He is currently a Project Manager at Pelican Developers, where he oversees project schedules, budgets, strategies and payment processing.While in university, Shayan received recognition and membership in several esteemed honor societies, including the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) and the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). He prides himself on helping to mentor others, as he was a volunteer at the University of California Irvine Disability Service Center. He graduated with a GPA of 3.42.In his spare time, he is passionate about community service, having worked with UNICEF and Rotary International. In his role with UNICEF, he mentored high school students, providing guidance on organization, work-life balance and sharing his personal college experience from UCI. In his role with Rotary International, he traveled to Mexico to help with the construction of a residential home for a low-income family.During his leisure time, Shayan enjoys basketball, video games and proactively building his business and technology skill set, through online courses. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and technology.Shayan loves mentoring those that are less fortunate and lives by the Kobe Bryant quote of "Hard work outweighs talent — every time."
