Research Interviewer - At-Risk Youth Study (Arys)
Current• Recruited participants by phone and e-mail, provided information and answered questions about research studies.• Prescreened potential research subjects in person according to study protocols and enrolled eligible participants.• Conducted quantitative structured interviews with eligible participants and performed outreach for follow up interviews.• Conducted outreach and interviews off site at community services and/or other facilities with varying environments (e.g. drop-in centres, shelters, non-profit residences, private SROs, health care facilities, public spaces in inner city setting) using approved transportation options.• Adhered to informed consent procedures and ethical guidelines for research involving human subjects.• Reviewed questionnaires for completeness and accuracy.• Ensured policies and procedures for data management were followed and all documents were entered and filed as required by ethical guidelines.• Was responsible for processing participant honoraria, including paying participant and recording honoraria for daily float reconciliation.• Transported blood samples to St. Paul’s Hospital for HIV/HCV and STI testing as needed.• Participated in knowledge translation presentations to community organizations as needed.• Assisted with training staff on data collection protocols as needed.• Referred participants to appropriate services and/or provides initial support when required.• Performed other related duties as required.
