About Steve Rossini
I’ve worked in a college setting assisting students, faculty, and administration. I am familiar with a number of course delivery platforms. In my current position as a Desire2Learn Site Administrator (Management Analyst 2) I regularly meet with faculty and work on course design, with students to solve online delivery issues, and with administration to chart a course for the college’s online course delivery efforts. During my time I've been asked to speak and present a numerous conferences around the state of Minnesota, and even been invited to speak in Chicago, IL (2010) and Memphis, TN (2008). In 2008 I was awarded the Desire2Excel Teaching and Learning Award by Desire2Learn for my work integrating technology into an online music course.My future goal is to one day be the Director of Online learning of an institution so I can play an even bigger role shaping the way students get quality education online.Specialties: My specialty is problem solving / thinking outside the box. One of my biggest accomplishments was taking a face-to-face music class and turning it into an international award winning interactive online course. This was all done with little to no money and using mostly open source software. I really enjoy taking an idea and turning it into something tangible, especially when someone says it cannot be done.
