My career started in the Technology Sector as a Marketing Director, leading the strategic and operational side of marketing and communications to support regional business growth. More recently I have worked remotely in global roles with a specific emphasis on Sustainability Services and Strategy within the Professional Services sector planning and executing time‑sensitive projects with many moving parts and often complex logistics. In recent years I have used the same skills to make a success of my own house moving, selling, letting, and renovation projects in Dorset which I have enjoyed. As I considered a new and more rewarding career working locally in the Dorset community, I realised that I could apply what I am good at and enjoy doing to make a positive impact on people’s lives as they go through the often stressful relocation or home improvement journey themselves.Having completed my training with the National Association of Senior & Speciality Mover Managers® I launched Dorset Move Management in order to provide personalised support with rightsizing and relocation in Dorset, South Somerset and North Devon. My mission is to help turn what might be a challenging experience into a well-managed and positive transition. Whilst not exclusively focussed on older adults my services are very much designed to help with the emotional and practical aspects of moving which can often be more challenging in later life and can prevent people from making a move. Since launching Dorset Move Management in 2023 I have supported 16 moves, working directly with clients moving to new homes as well as those relocating to retirement developments, or returning to the UK. It has been a privilege to help individuals and their families at what is often a stressful time. As part of this exciting new career journey, I am proud to have become a Partner of the Senior Move Partnership, and a member of NASMM (National Association of Senior & Speciality Move Managers).
