I am a test driven agile developer with experience as a Lead Developer, Team Lead, Architect and Scrum Master.I have relocated back to Wellington after 7 years in London. I am now working as a Big Data Engineer in a small team developing a suite of applications to improve Customer Journeys at Spark New Zealand.My last role In London was working on a Big Data Platform analysing advertising information, and before that I have worked mostly for retail banks and and on trading systems.I am proficient in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, with expertise in OO Design and Development, with a wide range of project experience including requirements gathering, coding, configuring, designing, architecting, planning, reviewing, team leading, supervising external teams, interviewing and mentoring.I am a focussed, pragmatic and easily managed co-operative professional, an independent thinker, an enthusiastic user of open source and adopter of new techniques and practices, someone who consistently gets the job done in challenging environments.I am test driven and I strive to create expressive code that is easy to comprehend and maintain. I really enjoy analysing and designing new applications, but also enjoy the challenge of tracking down and solving problems in running applications.
