Cofounder for Out, an app that helps groups coordinate better. Built the iOS client , which is launched on the AppStore (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/out-group-smarter-get-together/id1066843457?mt=8).

Built the product from idea to MVP to AppStore ready. Worked directly with the cofounders to help evolve the idea while having enough responsibliity to make important decisions for the app and the company. Used sockets to provide real time location information to a scalable backend that let us handle hundreds to thousands of users on the map at the same time. Integrated with Stripe for in-app payments, built sophisticated CLLocationManager algorithms to conserve battery life when possible, and designed an app to be used without needing to see the screen by using audible and haptic feedback while moving.

Building and maintaining the current Savant iOS app. The app uses an MVVM architecture, connects to thousands of homes via both local and cloud-based connections, and an emulated "demo server" to allow users to test the app without a system. Built many custom UI controls and animations with and without specific guidelines from the design team. Savant iOS supports many dynamic screens including cable television, security, climate, lighting, iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, and more which requires extensive use of programatic auto layout.

Rollio was a brand new startup designed to become your personal sales assistant and heavily integrate with an existing Salesforce setup. My responsibilities were to build the iOS app from the ground up, including both the full quality app and many rapid prototypes for demonstrations and presentations. While there, I helped to implement a backend connection to Salesforce, integrate MapKit with extensive map clustering abilities (using a quad tree implemented in C), manage contacts, accounts, and leads with Core Data (and later Realm for iOS), sync contacts via Apple's iOS APIs and manage schedules and appointments. As an early adopter in Rollio, I was able to influence the design and infrastructure of the app and prototype/implement several ideas which are still being used.
