I directed the rebuilding of the Downs brand and product portfolio on a global basis managing a team of three sales and marketing professionals as well as the relationships with sister companies around the world. I directed the formulation and implementation of global brand strategy for Wound Bed Preparation (WBP) to drive sales, profit and market share. The emphasis was on global brand building, clear segmentation and positioning. I managed five Brand Managers and assistants as well as directing and supporting country sales and marketing teams to achieve business unit goals and objectives. I drove cross-functional synergies both centrally and globally to ensure alignment of objectives and key performance indicators. I Identified opportunities for portfolio expansion and drove implementation through R+D projects.

I was the UK Head of Marketing reporting to the European Vice President managing three Brand Managers and assistants. As a member of the Country Management Board along with colleagues from Sales, Finance, RA., I drove key performance indicators, monitored business progress and took corrective action as appropriate as well as making decisions regarding sales force organisation, recruitment, targeting, incentive programmes, ETMS, car policy, pricing, conference organisation, etc. I was the key liaison with the Department of Health regarding reimbursement of new products and price increases. I was a member of the European Sales and Marketing Team driving strategies on an international basis and was specifically responsible for the development and implementation of marketing campaigns for the nursing sector throughout Europe
