As a User Support Specialist within the Systems Administration team for the Computer Science & Engineering Department, one of my primary responsibilities was coordinating the new account creation process and conducting new student orientations in introductory lab sessions. Other job functions and accomplishments include:• Managed Windows 7 lab image and deployed it to 100 PCs in computer labs.• Assisted users (faculty, staff, and students) with technical issues reported in person, over the phone, and via email. As a student employee for the Computer Science & Engineering Department's Systems Administration team, I was responsible for keeping computer labs in working order, re-imaging dual boot (Windows and SuSE Linux) lab computers using Norton Ghost, replacing failed or malfunctioning hardware components, and troubleshooting issues with Windows, Mac, and Linux computers. In addition, I assisted users (faculty, staff, students, and visitors) with account/login problems and a variety of other common issues such as email client configuration, printing, and so forth. As a Tier 1 support technician, I responded to trouble tickets within the scope of my position and knowledge, and escalated other tickets to senior staff members in the office.

As a resident assistant (RA) in Sandoz Hall, I worked as the live-in student staff member responsible for building community through the development of programs and activities on the floor and in the hall, and served as a resource and mentor for a wide array of information.
