Srushti Pathak is a Research Aide at University of Virginia at University of Virginia - Center For Applied Biomechanics. Colleagues describe them as "It's my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Srushti Pathak. Srushti worked with us as a summer research intern at the UVA Center for Applied Biomechanics (CAB), where we pursue fundamental research into injury causation, prediction, and prevention. Srushti was tasked with learning new software for MRI image analysis to assist in taking measurements from a recent volunteer study investigating the role of body shape variability on skeletal posture and seatbelt fit in automobiles. She excelled at this task, working with one of our senior interns to learn the software and develop new methods to capture key anatomical measurements (including writing analysis code to process and visualize those measurements). In addition to these duties, she also assisted a team performing large-scale crash simulation experiments with a next-generation crash test dummy. At the end of the summer, Srushti developed a conference-style research presentation built from her work at the CAB, and presented it in front of an open audience of CAB students and researchers.
In short, I give Srushti my highest recommendation. She will continue to be involved with research at the CAB through the school year. She has been (and continues to be) a valuable member of our team, and I am confident that she will continue to excel in her pursuits.
Please feel free to reach out should you require any further information.
Sincerely,
