I have been working as an environmental scientist for several years in the public and private sectors. My professional background is diverse including research, data management, resource recovery, program evaluation, sustainable development, natural resource policy, climate resilience, disaster preparedness, land use planning, GIS, project management, education, training and outreach. I have been a researcher in the sphere of environmental sciences and climate change for close to a decade and have worked with various think tanks like WRI India not for profit organisations like CSD and ESG, and academic institutions like ISEC. I have authored and co-authored several peer reviewed journal papers and popular articles and has attended many national and international conferences.I hold a doctorate in Forestry (Forest Ecology and Environment) from Forest Research Institute Deemed University, Dehradun, India. My doctoral work focused on the socio-economic and ecological significance of bamboo-based farm forestry across different agroclimatic zones. I hold a Master of Science from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, USA and a Bachelor of Science from Mumbai University, India.
