The main objective of the research was to achieve high-accuracy underwater image classification within a 10-week timeframe. To accomplish this, a simulated marine-like environment was created using a fish tank filled with water and blue + green food coloring. An analog camera, housed in a waterproof container, captured images of underwater debris.
