I am the Software Engineering Manager and Technical Lead for the Threat Defense team. My team is responsible for reducing Cruise's cybersecurity risk by quickly detecting and responding to active threats against its data, systems, and passengers.In my role, I design software systems, mentor and technically guide senior engineers, interview and hire, and also define the roadmap for our software-driven detection and response program. I grew my team from 2 to 8 engineers in a healthy manner over a period of 18 months.The core pillars of my team's work include:* Developing and maintaining data pipelines to procure security-relevant data into our data warehouse.* Creating innovative operating system-level software to generate telemetry necessary for detecting attacker behavior.* Designing anomalous behavioral detections in SQL that can operate across a wide variety of datasets.* Implementing automated incident response capabilities to expedite both the confirmation and remediation of active incidents.

EC2 Security* Designed, implemented, and maintained AWS's first threat intelligence platform* Maintained and contributed to our open source control plane IDS* Responsible for incident response, and final-tier customer abuse investigations.

Satellite Mission Operations* Administered critical Linux server & workstation infrastructure used in raising satellites into orbit and for in-orbit testing* Role included oncall responsibilities
