The only way to be remembered is via stories. The way I see Cinematography is more about instinct and exploration - the range of experience gained from behind the lens is more than what we see in front of it. I am SS Manoj, A Film Maker and Cinematographer. Film Making is my calling, my passion, and the thing that will undoubtedly drive me insane someday. I don’t film subjects. I film the way they make me feel. Admittedly, it’s a bit of a strange concept but it’s honest – the best way to describe my approach to the craft. I fill my life with films, not things. I have stories to tell, not stuff to show. My destination is never a place but a new way of seeing things. I wrestle with everything I shoot. I assume perfection is possible and I want to wring it out of every shot.
