Stepping Stone is a start-up Nonprofit, this organization serves young women, children, and their families through evidence-based programs such as Self Awareness, Family Planning, Residential Treatment, Transitional Housing, Permanent Affordable Housing, Entrepreneurship, Early Childhood Education, Mentoring Programs, Workforce Development, Mental Health, and Wrap-Around services. The program will form partnerships with the Tennessee Health Department, Non-Profit Organizations as well as Corporations. Per CDC (PRAMS) as of 2019 young women do not have the support system required for their success period data for Tennessee shows that among black teenagers the pregnancy rate is 126.3% compared to 44% non-Hispanics, whites. 71.5/1000 girls are aged 15-19 with a 7% pregnancy rate. Stepping Stone will address the need for supportive space to provide pathways to education, housing, health and wellness, employment, childcare, and self-sufficiency.
