About Sameed Ahmed

I am a second year undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering.My passion for engineering derives from my love for computers and robotics. My hobbies allowed me to dabble in Circuit Design, Game Development and other pathways which I hope to enhance in the coming years. I plan to specialize in embedded system design and robotics.I have a strong foundational knowledge of Computer Science, excelling in understanding and utilizing languages and frameworks, as well as Operating Systems such as Linux. Being primarily self-taught, I hope to apply myself to my personal ventures and any opportunities that may come my way.I recently founded a new initiative alongside my partner, Alumnex, a company aimed at giving high-school students a better insight into post-secondary choices from the students that came before them, right from the same classrooms. I am a Former Warrant Officer in Second Class at 800 Blackforest Squadron, RCAir Cadets Program, leading various projects and exercises essential to developing young leaders in my community. I was also the Lead Coordinator and Non-Commissioned Officer of the 800 Effective Speaking and Debate Program, based on the works of Toastmasters International, striving for excellence in eloquence. I've mentored many Cadets and led them to win at Invitationals, Regionals and Provincials.I also have a passion for the Arts, as I dabble in Photography and Media Production. I have been an Actor, Cinematographer and Editor for a few projects at St. Joan of Arc C.S.S.' Drama Department and was recently also the Executive Producer alongside these duties for the School's feature-length film.
