Managed negotiations, legal and due diligence processes for over 20 merger, acquisition, financing and disposal transactions and built a central services team to support our geographically distributed organization.

Responsible for all finance and administrative functions for The Collective, an independent video game developer focused on large, AAA and licensed titles. Worked with original founders to obtain bank financing to bring needed liquidity to an undercapitalized business and designed and implemented robust budget, financial reporting and job cost systems that enabled the company to better manage project margins.

Vice President, Finance of Paul Allen-owned cable television programming start-up, responsible for all finance, accounting and administravie functions, including human resources, real estate, legal affairs, insurance and information services. Developed business plans and financial models for single and multiple network business structures that would leverage the sales and marketing, master control, satellite transmission and back office operations in Vulcan’s existing media operations to reduce the entry cost for new networks.

Progressed from Vice President, Controller to CFO of $250 million subsidiary of Viacom Inc. that developed, published and distributed interactive software and video game products. Responsible for worldwide finance and accounting functions. Decentralized European finance organization and implemented global reporting and budget and control processes that allowed management to hold territory GMs accountable for their businesses. Also managed U.S. manufacturing and distribution functions for 2 years. Managed financial due diligence activities and presentations to potential buyers to facilitate both IPO and private sale tracks following Viacom's decision to sell the company.

Spent 9 years in the Information & Communications practice of this “Big 4” CPA firm, with a client base consisting primarily of public and private multinational software and computer product companies and also included manufacturing, distribution and real estate clients.Gained extensive SEC experience, including initial public offerings as well as recurring reporting, as well us significant M&A experience including due diligence and accounting requirementsSpent 16 months on a rotational assignment in the Firm’s Audit Research Group in Montvale, New Jersey. Developed prototype of Bank Compare, a system to allow peer group comparisons across commercial banks to support both audit analytical procedures and practice development needs. This project was featured in the firm's application for the Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award in 1989.
