I am a Business Professional with over fifteen years of experience as a Business Consultant and in Business Development. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Electronics Engineering from Denver, Colorado; and a Master of Science in Finance from Universidad Santa Maria, Venezuela. I’m working in the Donor Relations Department as a Development Advisor for Food for the Poor Inc.; which according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy is the largest international relief organization in the United States. As a team in the Donor Relations Department we are devoted to nurturing a deep, long lasting connection to our Donors through timely and heartfelt expressions of thankfulness; the provision of spiritual comfort through the ministry of prayer, and enthusiastic attention to their wishes and concerns. Prior to this, I worked as an Employer Liaison for DeVry University at the Miramar campus for the South Florida Metro. I partnered with local businesses and companies to help them with their recruiting needs and increase the numbers of job leads for DeVry students and alumni. During my time with DeVry University I increased the Employers Data Base from 80 to 700+ employers. In 2004 I worked with Youth Co-Op; one of the providers for South Florida Workforce; as an Employer Consultant where the mission was to provide high quality employment and training solutions to employers, workers, and job seekers to foster regional economic growth. I am glad to work for Food For The Poor because it gives me the opportunity to help people, even overseas since we feed the millions of hungry poor in 17 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. This interdenominational Christian agency provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance, with more than 95% of all donations going directly to programs that help the poor.Specialties: One of my greatest strengths is the ability to build relationships within and outside an organization.
