As an MWD/LWD Field Engineer I was responsible for the well-site operations of down-hole directional and formation evaluation tools used in horizontal drilling operations. During drilling operations, I provided the Directional Driller, client, and our office with up to date measurements of drilling activities. Also, I monitored the real time shock and vibration of the drill string and provided drilling paramater suggestions to the client to increase drilling performance. In the case of tool issues, I was responsible for troubleshooting while minimizing drilling downtime. I communicated tool failures to the client and informed them of steps that can be taken to minimize the extent and frequency. I gained experience working on drilling rigs in multiple basins in North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, California, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
