Lead design, planning, and implementation of new feature development and maintenance for Venmo's Debit Card and other revenue-driving merchant money-movement integrations.Lead an effort to process advice (force-post) transactions asynchronously, utilizing AWS kinesis, AWS lambda, and microservices to reduce performance degradation during batch settlement, which was a critical feature for Venmo's Amazon partnership.Built the backend money-movement integration, involving several teams and systems, including 3rd party vendors, for enabling users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies in Venmo.Fixed bugs and made improvements our merchant money-movement backend to improve reliability and protect against revenue loss.Lead a team of contractors and full-time engineers through Scrum processes and coached them to ensure consistent sprint-by-sprint predictability of work.

Worked with the PayPal's core payments team to enhance and develop new modules in PayPal's core Payments platform.Contributed to design and development of a new microservice utilizing Spring Boot and RxJava for Asynchronous I/O to orchestrate multi-leg transactions, for PayPal in-store solutions, which resulted in a significant performance increase to PayPal in-store transactions.Made enhancements to PayPal's Kafka-based daemon for logging microservice requests and responses, refactoring it to be configuration-driven which reduced effort of adding new transaction types.Served as Scrum Master for the PayPal's Newton, MA based scrum team, working across teams to resolve blockers and achieve Sprint goals.

Software Engineer working on some of Cayan's featured payment processing solutions. Technologies include C#/.NET SOAP Services, Restful Web Services built in NancyFx and WebApi, along with ASP.NET web pages.. Cayan employs a combination of Lean Development, Kaizen, and continuous integration metholodies, with a heavy emphasis on testing early and often. Test frameworks such as Cucumber, Specflow, and NUnit, and Jasmine and used to develop and maintain our Behavior Driven Development approach.

Work in a small team of developers and contractors to Develop and maintain web-based enterprise applications to support the company model of "structured family caregiving". The primary web application back-end is built on MS SQL databases, and .NET SOAP services, and uses PHP, Javascript, and the Zend framework for the front end. I also worked on RESTful web services built in Java on a JBoss application server as a back-end for our new Android Mobile Apps. I also help with building requirements, fixing bugs, and maintaining the Android front-end.

Worked in a research group called Coastal Systems Technology which used OceanServer Iver2 AUVs to do bathymetric research. I worked on data analysis and a mobile application to support mission planning for the AUVs. I also worked on other projects, including a prototype mobile application to gain support for an Android based Army ground force management and communication system.
