Undergraduate student at MIT with a passion for algorithms and a love for learning. I have hands on experience with backend development using C++ and Python, as well as technologies like Kafka, Redis, and Docker. I know a lot about biological distributed algorithms research and have also explored various topics like formal verification and machine learning. I think education is really important and as co-chair of the MIT Educational Studies program, I help our organization run programs for thousands of middle and high school students around the world. In my free time, you can find me hiking in the White Mountains, drawing digital art, playing the violin, doing puzzle hunts, or reading self-help books. I love to meet people and try new things, so don't hesitate to reach out to me :)

Software Engineer InternMeta Jun 2022 - Aug 2022Menlo Park, Ca, UsWorked on the Messenger Creation Growth team to improve user experience and increase stories consumption. Added a high priority feature of disabling the stories tab badge toggle as well as time-based cooldowns and daily caps on badging. Took extra initiative to add new entry points for the user to add to and view their story, and refactored the story settings page to use a new internal data querying system. -
Mit Esp ChairMassachusetts Institute Of Technology Dec 2020 - Dec 2021Cambridge, Ma, UsI am the co-chair of MIT ESP, a non-profit student-led organization that runs educational programs for thousands of middle and high school students around the world. I have mentored four sets of directors through the logistical process of recruiting teachers, scheduling classes, publicizing to students and running discussions. -
Undergraduate Research AssistantMassachusetts Institute Of Technology Dec 2020 - Jun 2021Cambridge, Ma, UsAnt species such as Temnothorax albipennis select a new nest site in a distributed fashion that, if modeled correctly, can serve as useful information for site selection algorithms for robotic swarms and other applications. Alongside Jiajia Zhao and Nancy Lynch, I developed a novel algorithm to model distributed house hunting that takes into account the spatial orientation of nest sites, explores the tradeoff between nest quality and distance, and improves on existing house hunting models. -
Undergraduate Teaching AssistantMassachusetts Institute Of Technology Feb 2021 - May 2021Cambridge, Ma, UsUndergraduate teaching assistant for 6.006, MIT's introductory algorithms class with more than 200 students. I taught recitation to a group of 20 students two hours a week and helped to write problem sets as well as proctor and grade exams. -
Software Engineering InternBloomberg Lp Jun 2021 - Aug 2021New York, Ny, UsDesigning and implementing a near real-time pipeline for automatically adding Bloomberg terminal users to the relevant user groups (e.g. their team) when new user information or group information is updated. I'm using kafka as a broadcasting mechanism and distributed redis to cache group information to ensure that the system is scalable for our hundreds of thousands of terminal users. I'm also using Python and C++ to write services that fetch, cache, and broadcast group update information. -
Software Engineering InternKensho Technologies Jun 2020 - Aug 2020Cambridge, Ma, UsWorked on the Infrastructure and Speech-to-Text teams. -
Summer Research InternU.S. Naval Research Laboratory Jul 2019 - Aug 2019Washington, Dc, UsContinued research from the previous summer. Worked on task allocation algorithms for autonomous swarms. -
Course InstructorAlphastar Academy Jul 2019 - Jul 2019I taught algorithms to a group of middle and high school students over the summer.

Summer Research InternU.S. Naval Research Laboratory Jun 2018 - Aug 2018Washington, Dc, UsConducted research on swarm algorithms and emergent behavior in autonomous systems. Worked to develop an urgency-dependent quorum for N-site selection. Published "An Urgency Dependent Quorum Sensing Algorithm for N-Site Selection in Autonomous Swarms" in AAMAS 2019. -
Pariticipant In Research Experience For Undergraduates ProgramUniversity Of Maryland College Park Jun 2017 - Aug 2017College Park, Md, UsWorked together with undergraduates to develop a website interface and design efficient algorithms for scheduling pickup times at airports to bring people to an event.
