It helps them successfully navigate the construction sector by providing the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in construction.Program Summary:Participants receive comprehensive training to address gaps in knowledge and competencies. Sessions include:- Overview of Canada's construction landscape- Health and safety in construction- Development of soft skills through construction-specific scenariosThe program places a strong emphasis on the critical skills needed for success in construction management, such as:- Project coordination- Assisting project managers or site supervisors on-site- Working with shop drawings- Preparing change orders and managing technical communicationOutcomes: Completing this program opened new career opportunities in construction for me and allowed me to connect with professionals from various construction projects in Ontario. I believe it is important to note that The "Pathway to ICI" program promotes project management skills and awareness of best practices in construction.

• Planned and implemented comprehensive project strategies to ensure successful execution, while effectively managing resources, timelines, and stakeholders.• Worked on three to five projects simultaneously ($50,000 to $5,000,000: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), MS Project (Gantt Diagram), Project Network Diagram, Resource Plan, Risk Plan).• Managed budgeting and cost control: developed and implemented a financial model for management planning and cash flow accounting.• Led multi-functional teams (project team, trades team, suppliers, safety and quality control engineers, document control).• Develop implementation and adherence to project management protocols; organization, coordination, and control of work processes aimed at eliminating conflicts and inconsistencies.• Implemented quality control processes and ensured compliance with specifications and material consumption. Introduced a manager for internal technical supervision at the construction site to the staff of the company. This reduced the time to eliminate the comments on the quality of work and the time spent on reporting.• Tracked and reported project progress and met deadlines.• Maintained strong relationships with customers, company partners, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.• Developed and implemented project change protocol and cost management, procuring materials and services to maximize the ROI by negotiating competitive pricing.

• Coordinated and successfully delivered 50% of all company’s office space projects (500 to 10,000 m2), including installing the glass and ventilated facades and installing facade structures for commercial and public buildings. Run three to five projects each month with a life cycle of 1 to 5 months.• Developed schedules, defined budgets, assessed risks, and allocated resources to achieve project goals.
