- Evaluate accrual entries on the balance sheet and income statement to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Verify account reconciliations, including cash and fixed assets, to identify and prevent fraudulent activity.
- Analyze and approve monthly journal entries, including intercompany transactions, to identify data entry errors and other irregularities.o Enforce internal controls, segregation of duties, and financial statement.
- Accounting System: Initiated the transition from QuickBooks Enterprise (desktop) to cloud-based Sage Intacct to streamline accounting functions, consolidate activities from all 10 campuses, and support easy roll up.
- Payroll: Converted from ADP to Paycom to simplify payroll processes reducing the number of required bi-weekly pay batches from 10 to 3.
