My fascination with the field of materials science led me to pursue post-graduation in Materials Science and Engineering from Arizona State University. Here at the School of Engineering, Matter, Transport and Energy, along with my peers at Tongay Labs, I worked on H-plasma based processing technique to synthesize 2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenides (TMDC) based semiconducting materials. Through various characterization techniques we discovered newly emerging quantum properties for these lab-synthesized 2D semiconductors named as Janus materials.The research-oriented mindset as well as the technical skills developed throughout my time as a Graduate Service Assistant in the Tongay Labs, helped me successfully defend my thesis and land a job at Advanced Semiconductor Materials, Inc. Since September 2022, I have been working as a Process Engineer in the EPI department at ASM America Inc, So far.it has been an exciting journey at ASM and I hope to progress in swiftly in this ever-expanding field of semiconductor R&D.
