Selected Achievements:• Won positive PR for E.ON by persuading the Board to announce a price freeze ahead of their competitors at a time when falling wholesale prices made a rise unlikely, a low risk win leading to huge, positive tabloid coverage, a moral lift for around 9,000 low to medium paid staff and considerable pressure on our competitors. • Used the spinoff of the Uniper power generation business to position E.ON as driving sustainability • Worked closely with the Chief Executive on his “Reset Review” of E.ON and its PR/marketing strands, especially:o Creating a “Consumer Council” of external representatives (de facto non-Executives), all with media profile (including Justine Roberts, the Founder of Mumsnet), to bring transparency to the firm’s work.o Persuading E.ON to change to a one-sheet customer bill, concentrating on the charge and avoiding lengthy, technical, engineering and market heavy explanations for the price.
