A Techstars Atlanta Company.Chief Technology Officer at Whirl, a matchmaking platform that was first designed for the college campus can now be used by anybody. On Whirl, your friends are your matchmakers, creating a more authentic, and safer, way to meet people. Whirl was accepted to the Techstars Atlanta fall class of 2022 with pre-seed funding. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage a team to develop the Whirl Matchmaking platform. - Design Whirl's tech-stack: consisting of a React-Native mobile application & React web-app, along with 5 micro-services hosted Google Cloud. See list of applicable technologies below. - Convert a manual matchmaking process on Google Sheets to an efficient algorithm that can be used at scale, with constant improvements. - Speak with investors/advisors about Whirl. ACHIEVEMENTS:After joining Whirl I was able to convert their manual matchmaking process (hosted on Google Sheets and Google Forms) into an efficient algorithm to conduct all initial-matchmaking, drastically reducing the amount of time involved in creating matches. In the process, I developed an MVP around that algorithm that included a React web-app, REST API, and NoSQL database (including other GCP products) that was launched across 9 college campuses. With the success of the MVP, Whirl was accepted to the Techstars Atlanta Fall Class of 2022 and obtained pre-seed funding. My team and I were able to launch the Whirl Matchmaking app to the Apple App Store soon after. In that process, I was able to convert our REST API from the MVP into a micro-service architecture which exceptionally improved performance.TECHNOLOGIES USED IN DEVELOPMENT:- Firebase (Phone Authentication)- GCP Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud CDN, etc. - Twilio- Redis- NoSQL Databases- React- React Native- Express- Typescript, Python, Java

Wrote over 300 regression scripts to test REST API before product releases with over 6000 test cases. Additionally, I contributed to back-end development of email/push notifications.

Staffed TiO exhibit booth at CEDIA (conference with 18,000 attendees) and gave demos to international audio visual companies, home builders, and general media. Conducted detailed competitor analysis and presented finding to senior management and the engineerig team. Developed new, custom label template for national builder rollout program. Led the installation of model homes and training to top five retailer. Drafted script for video based customer training to help installers.
