About Shamika Rucker

With over 18 years of professional experience in diverse and innovative fields, I bring cross-functional leadership, strategic thinking, and executive presence skills to this role, as well as a passion for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry.I am also the founder and CEO of The Wellness Company, a fitness, health, and wellness lifestyle brand that offers alternatives to traditional pharmacies. After a successful career in the defense sector, where I designed radar systems and managed international programs, I discovered my passion for helping individuals and companies achieve their wellness goals. I have a dual degree in chemical engineering and physics, and an MBA in high technology, which enable me to combine my scientific and business expertise in developing and launching an activewear and wellness product line, and a luxury skincare line. I also provide personal training and nutrition counseling to working professionals, and mentor young entrepreneurs in the biotechnology sector. I believe that wellness is a holistic concept that encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects, and that vulnerability is a tool for finding healthier perceptions of ourselves and peace as a more complete and whole person.
