Over twenty years of experience in entrepreneurship, strategic asset management and advising in the areas of Strategy Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, Intellectual Property, Technology Licensing, and Leadership Development. As the Managing Partner of Fivestone Corporate Ventures, Mr. Staykov successfully oversaw the development of the NXT Companies ecosystem resulting in the establishment of software driven e-commerce companies in industries such as automotive, metals, construction and others. Under his direction, the equity holdings have yielded results such as an exit to Private Equity of a only 18-month old company at a large multiple for the shareholders; added diversification of the portfolio and expansion and protection of the technology and IP assets. In an ever-expanding role in the B2B and B2C e-commerce and fulfillment sector, Stayko has built strategic relationships that have led to him serving as fractional COO/CFO for e-commerce operational external to the NXT ecosystem such as Liberation Distribution, Inc, based in San Jose, CA. As a Co-Founder of Venture Grove – a Nashville/Silicon Valley SaaS company, he is expertly involved in curating entrepreneurship and innovation landscapes through Complexity Data Science in order to better align such with corporate and investment needs. Mr. Staykov serves as the Chair of the Board for Zyxogen – a Nashville VC-backed company charged with the commercialization of over 100 IP assets.Mr. Staykov also currently leads a global advisory firm (as part of the Fivestone Corporate Ventures umbrella of assets) experienced in addressing complex issues and tasks related to Strategy, Innovation and Intellectual Property assets. He also advises on public or private initiatives and projects around IP commercialization, Innovation programs or Strategic growth. Mr. Staykov has built a national reputation as an authority and expert in leadership development for leaders and entrepreneurs. He has taught Leadership Development curriculum and has also served as the featured lecturer at statewide and national forums, leadership retreats and roundtables. He is also an active mentor with the Nashville Entrepreneurship Center and Life Science Tennessee and has received a number of accolades for mentoring and advising activities.
