As Director of the GameLab, I run the game development studio within SMU Guildhall that produces and publishes up to six games a year. With 30+ years of game industry and project management experience, I co-teach with cross-discipline faculty, staff, producers, and TAs to manage and executive produce SMU Guildhall's Team Game Projects (TGPs). I also teach production major classes focusing on soft-skills team management, Agile development, studio business and finance, Games User Research (GUR), and all aspects of production. Aside from publishing, the GameLab’s mission is to bridge students, faculty, and SMU as a whole to the game industry partners on a variety of publishing, business development, research, and real-world event projects including traditional games, VR and AR projects, esports and more. In addition to my teaching duties, I serve as the Academic Advisor for SMU Guildhall by supporting students through their academic and professional careers.
