Since joining the team, I have contributed to building a high performing, highly innovative engineering teams in Kindle across Seattle, Sunnyvale, Chennai, Madrid and Beijing.At Amazon: ● To provide improved reading experience on E-readers, Fire tablets, iOS, Android, PC, Mac, Web, and author/ publisher experience (Kindle Create, Kindle Previewer) across categories (Fiction, Non-fiction, Comics, Manga), built and delivered cross-os rendering and layout libraries to Reader and Publisher Tools teams. ● Worked with the India and JP Manga business teams to productize the web rendering technology, and delivered Kindle Lite and Manga Web Reader that laid the foundation for bringing superior reading experience on Web. ● Currently working on a program to modernize and update the UI/UX on E-reader to improve reading and content discovery experience and increase feature velocity.

I led the Digital Technology team in Chennai. The team in Chennai provides innovative products and services for the ingestion and delivery of digital content on Amazon Kindle, and platform services for other digital verticalsAt Amazon: ● Led the Topaz e-book digitization program to digitize physical books to Kindle e-books. The team had 80 members in engineering, and 1200 members in operations. ● Launched five new languages, several new reader features, a WYSIWYG editor, filed patents for many inventions, scaled the operation ten-fold, on-boarded third party operations in multiple locations globally, raised the bar on quality and reduced the conversion cost per title by more than half. ● Led the Kindle Content Metrics team responsible for collecting, processing, building reports and providing self-self dashboard of the Kindle. Launched full metrics support for five new countriesIn addition to my ownership of the Kindle e-book digitization vertical, I was the site leader for the Amazon Development Center in Chennai. As site leader I was responsible for the operations, and continued growth of the Chennai center. Helped the center grow from 60 to 2500+ employees over a span of four years.

Led a team of architects and provided technology leadership to over 50 engineers in developing a secure connectivity solution leveraging the network infrastructure of one the largest virtual networks in the world.At iPass: ● Led the evolution of the iPass dial-up network into a heterogeneous network of thousands of wireless, dial-up, and Wi-Fi broadband access points across 150 countries ● Architected and implemented iSEEL, a secure end-to-end encryption layer used for encrypting user credentials. Used Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) as the encryption algorithm for protecting the user credentials across the InternetiPass acquired GoRemote in February 2006. I moved to India in March 2006 and led the engineering team of about 40 engineers. I successfully launched several projects and delivered them on time with high quality. This enabled iPass to move development of all iPass products to Bangalore.
