Sixteen combined years in the workforce; 9 of those in management positions & 7 of those 9 in accounting and operations management geared toward substantial growth of small business.I've worked everything from being a designated diaper-changer in the infant room at a children's daycare to being primary caretaker of the daily operations of two 25-employee C Corp entities, simultaneously. As the daughter of a family of blue-collar workers, I know what it is to work your way from the bottom and raised to always put my best effort into whatever it is that I do. Some of my professional achievements in my most recent position include: • Ran a successful marketing campaign on a shoe-string budget that totaled just shy of $150 and got the exact quality of work the company was looking for, resulting in word-of-mouth referrals that has padded year after year of work and has made future advertising for that leg of the business entirely unnecessary. (It's a pretty cool story; ask me about it!)• I consistently and accurately managed the companies' accounting books with all of the year-end closing procedures done and ready to ship over to the CPA, behaving as a reliable & effective full-charge bookkeeper. After I began handling the financial duties of the companies, filing extensions that were once habitually requested from the IRS became a thing of the past, which resulted in less tax filing fees for the companies' ownership.• Successfully identified for the owner opportunity costs that were directly impacting his bottom line and worked together to lead a successful overhaul of services and operating policy that had put him on track for his first million inside of two years. This course of action had nearly doubled the amount of revenue he had been making from my original date of hire at that particular position.• Decreased employee turnover and employee unemployment claims to zero by establishing professionally-aimed programs geared toward employees, which reduced the amount of UC (unemployment compensation) employer sided taxes into a reasonably negligible amount in stark contrast to what it once was. This move greatly benefited the employee experience as well, as it created a well-oiled, productive machine that fostered employee morale/retention & encouraged an open-door policy between employee and employer.As the point-person and problem-solver for small businesses, I frequently thought to myself about what the perfect employee would look like that would solve all of my business needs. Then, steadily, I became it.
