After college and a brief stint in the military, Jim entered the General Insurance business as a Property and Casualty Broker where he specialized in developing insurance programs in the Caribbean Basin for American International Group, The Caribbean Hotel Association and Blue Cross and Blue Shield, amongst others, eventually moving to Barbados in 1988. Jim and his family came back to Louisville in 1990 when Jim joined Humana Inc. as National Director of Sales and later was with Norton Healthcare as Vice President of Network Development. Jim's interest in International business and niche' marketing came together with the formation of PayPort Systems and it's focus on meeting the needs of the growing Latino,unbanked,and other underserved populations.
