I manage the state government affairs agenda for 9 states for T-Mobile. I manage the contract lobbyists and the legislative strategy in AL, FL, GA, KY, NC, SC, TN, VA, and WV. These are my work activities:Develop and maintain effective relationships with state and local government officials. Coordinate intergovernmental strategies as needed to drive results for colleagues on federal and local policy issues.Provide operational support to all legislative processes for internal clients, including consumer issues, network and cell siting, and taxation and fees. Provide support for the Government Sales team to engage state and local elected officials.Develop plans to achieve all public policy objectives, including political giving as allowed by law in each state.Prepare summaries and analysis of legislation and materials for advocacy working with internal clients, industry representatives, and trade groups.Develop strategies for public officials to engage on social and other media platforms.Attend and plan events where state policy-makers will be present and develop strategies to maintain relationships and create T-Mobile champions.

The TCTA is a statewide nonprofit trade association representing approximately 95% of the State's cable television operators and their programming and vending partners. Responsibilities included: - Setting public relations, legal, and legislative agendas in furtherance of Strategic Plan; - Oversight of annual budget ($700,000) and finances; - Membership development and retention; - Coordination of activities of the TCTA Board of Directors, PAC Board of Directors, Tennessee Cable Education Foundation; - Supervision of TCTA employees; and - Working with independent contractors including lobbyists, attorneys, accountants, and public relations professionals to accomplish the above.

Provided legal advice in areas of corporate, banking, mortgage lending law, and setup and operation of corporation's charitable foundation.

Policy Advisor and In-House Counsel for a state agency established in 1992 to plan and build a 15,500 acre industrial transportation park at an existing airport in Eastern North Carolina. Responsibilities included: - Providing legal advice in the areas of environmental, real estate, contract, transportation, foreign trade, administrative, regulatory, corporate, state bidding, and legislative law; - Drafting of organizational documents and administrative policies; and - Coordinating with other state and federal agencies, contractors and outside counsel on environmental impact statement, wetlands mitigation plan, Foreign Trade Zone application, land acquisition, engineering and master planning, and transfer of airport facility from local government owners to

Responsibilities included ratification of bills, engrossment of floor amendments, drafting of bills and amendments, and legal research.
