I am a dedicated individual with a passion for service. Previously, I devoted many years to making a difference for Veterans at the Fayetteville NC VA Medical Center. I am excited to still be making an impact on those who served in my current position as a Healthcare Navigator for Veterans Services of the Carolinas. My outstanding commitment to volunteerism earned me the 2022 NC Governor's Medallion Award, recognizing my exceptional contributions to the Veteran community. In 2023, my impact was recognized on a global scale when I was honored as a CNN Hero, showcasing my selflessness and commitment to positive change. Locally, I received the 2023 City View Power of Giving Award, highlighting my work with homeless Veterans in the community.My profound dedication to supporting veterans led me to establish Off-Road Outreach, a non-profit veteran service organization. As the Founder and Executive Director, I continue to exemplify leadership and compassion, hoping to leave an indelible mark on the lives I touch.My impact extends beyond the workplace. As a resilient Traumatic Brain Injury Survivor, I hope to inspire others through motivational speaking. I am also a NC Certified Peer Support Specialist, reflecting my commitment to supporting those with disabilities and a proud recipient of the Tom Miller Advocacy Award.
