I am responsible for partnering, supporting and overseeing HR for the North Region. This involves providing generalist HR advice and guidance, along with helping to set the strategic direction for the North region. Key Successes:• Successful management of large scale TUPE transfer• Successfully defended numerous Employment Tribunal Claims• Successfully supported key change initiatives and adding value to the organisation. For example, supporting the roll out of HR initiatives (local & Global) including roll out of The Doosan Way (cultural change programme) as a Change Agent.• Successfully supported the implementation of the Doosan Competency model across the business, including delivery of training for both assessors and assesses and system management (on mass conference style training circa 100 people per session). Key Responsibilities:• Support operations delivery teams and the wider HR function in understanding each area of the business and aligning HR resource as required.• Provide first line coaching to managers on progressive HR initiatives, giving guidance and direction as necessary to ensure a balanced approach is taken should HR/ER issues arise.• Discipline/Grievance/Performance/Absence Management, ensuring compliance with HR protocols and procedures• Co-ordinate the people delivery elements of HR Strategy in accordance with HR policy/processes • HR Management of all TUPE transfers • Undertake negotiations and consultations with Trade Unions regarding substantial contractual changes, wage negotiations and resolving workplace conflict• Build and maintaining effective relations with Trade Unions leading collective consultations• Site visits to support site managers and promote proactive industrial relations• Implement HR initiatives and programmes including both global and local initiatives • Management and development HR team members• Responsible for resource planning, employee development and succession planning

HR Professional currently working as a business partner to two distinct business units providing generalist HR advice and guidance in recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management, absence management, discipline/grievance, redundancies and day to day employment issues across the Company. Role also includes but not limited to:- Managing absences, both short term frequent absence and long term cases- Managing investigations and disciplinaries- Managing redundancy programmes both singular and collective- Managing and processing of flexible working applications- Involvement in tribunal case management- Advising and guiding managers through best practise and HR processes- Preparing and delivering awareness sessions to business areas on HR topics- Guiding managers through performance management processes- Collaborating with business partners to provide a proactive approach to business areas

- Dealing with all aspects of recruitment- Sifting through CV’s for suitable applicants- Assisting Line Managers in interviews- Monitoring all recruitment activity- Carrying out inductions for all new members of staff- Organising training courses that have been identified at appraisals- Developing training plans for all staff- Dealing with graduate recruitment, graduate placements etc- Attendance at recruitment events for both graduate and technical staff
