My daily responsibilities within the Post-Panel department involve the thorough processing of site-submitted documents, including consent forms, advertisements, subject-facing documents, study drug booklets, and more, following their assessment by our professional review board. My focus lies particularly on the intricacies of the formatting of these documents. It is my responsibility in this role to guarantee the high quality of each document to meet the standards of the client. I analyze that the submitted documents (specifically consent forms) are devoid of errors and visually easy to read for both patients and clinical staff. The role has taught me to thrive in a fast-paced environment and become adaptable to quickly moving from one task to another, specifically in processing requests that require rapid document turnaround, such as when a site requires expedited processing for a patient's urgent consent related to potentially life-altering treatments. Over my tenure of nearly three years in this role, I have had the great honor of collaborating with an exceptional team. Working at WCG has cultivated my passion for a career in the clinical research field. As a Title / LAP Paraeducator at Terminal Park Elementary School within the Auburn School District, I focused on improving the literacy skills of students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. Towards the end of my tenure, I assumed the lead writer role for a substantial health-related proposal for a local hospital, managing significant portions of the writing and editing process. As the longest-serving Technical Writing intern at SEAL, I became a mentor, guiding new writers on technical aspects and refining writing and editing grant proposals. Beyond proposal work, I assisted the lead professor by writing letters to potential research partners, and crafting letters of recommendation for fellow interns. Additionally, I maintained the lab's social media presence on Twitter.
