I am a detail oriented, self motivated, organized individual with strong decision making and problem-solving skills. I like challenges and the ability to use critical thinking to resolve issues to a satisfactory conclusion. Upon graduation from college, I worked in accounting and finance for eight years before deciding to stay at home with my family. After leaving the corporate world, I continued to look for opportunities to use my skill set as both a volunteer and employee. I did bank reconciliations for my husband’s company, started two home based businesses and manage our rental properties as well as our home finances and taxes. I have held significant volunteer positions with my church/school, such as Board of Education, Auction Chairperson, and PTL Treasurer. Throughout these volunteer opportunities I also continued to work in jobs which allowed me the flexibility to have my children with me. I have experience in the analysis of financial data, financial statement preparation, long term financial planning, and building business plans. I am looking for the right opportunity to demonstrate my keen accounting and general business acumen and to become a valuable contributor to an existing or developing team.
