Not all designers understand marketing and not all marketers speak three languages. I am a trilingual grad specializing in Management and Marketing at the University of Toronto and a professional graphic designer. Who I am, is an almighty marketing & advertising specialist. After graduating from high school in Toronto, I did not go to university directly. Instead, I moved to Montreal to take a gap year. That was one of the most important periods for me because I found my real interest and future career direction. I learned graphics design and French and also gained related certifications. After that, I did a full-time job in a new media and marketing agency for 2 years, and by observing my daily work, I found that I was very interested and enthusiastic about the business involved in this industry. Besides, I also asked my manager for career advice. She thought that my ability and personality were also very suitable for marketing. With the manager’s approval and professional advice, I was more determined to engage in this industry.I applied for the BBA program and specialist in Management and marketing as I know that without professional knowledge of marketing, I am just a computer graphics designer. The aesthetics involved in the design and the marketing involved in advertising are inseparable. Thus, I believe I will become a competitive marketer or advertiser who is professional in both two fields. What is more, speaking three languages is also my other competitive advantage because this can help the company that I work for or my group to expand the target customers and the business scope.
