Provide ministry and administrative support for the Pastor of Compassionate Ministries, volunteers and clients. Responsibilities include:Administrative support, including responding to emails, phone calls, and compiling a variety of reports to Centre Street Church leadership, as well as planning and restructuring ministry practices as needed. Accounting tasks include monitoring expenses in relation to current budgets and strategic plans, cheque requests and maintaining a variety of spreadsheets to ensure accurate reporting. Additionally responsible for scheduling on-call pastors and providing counseling referrals. Volunteer management, including screening and interviewing new volunteers, training and mentoring, ensuring safety protocols are being followed and all paperwork and police checks are being completed, updating volunteer database system, organizing volunteer appreciations and composing email communication as needed. Management, including the direct supervision of two staff members, providing one-on-ones and participating in performance reviews with senior management.

Tasks included but not limited to: interviews of potential new residents, one on one meetings with residents, suicide intervention, mental health and addiction support, planning events for residents, documenting case notes, leading Smart Recovery, support volunteers, train Relief and Interns, provide resources, referrals to the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank, etc.
