I manage the manufacturing process of an assigned number of publications to ensure timely, cost effective and high quality production. I work closely with Editorial to obtain detailed publication specifications from customers; obtain accurate deadline dates and assist in job planning; monitor all jobs in process through all production stages to ensure that customer deadlines are met; advise vendors of delays or deadline changes; advise customer of changes in specifications. I identify issues and problems; gather information and identify cause and effect relationships. I take ownership of decisions and know when to proceed independently and when to ask management for help in determining priorities and solving problems. I work with and support all locations in the LexisNexis arena to generate synergies that may result in cost savings for both companies. Review existing processes to determine whether they are still the most efficient way of attaining goals set for Manufacturing Services. I consistently make recommendations and suggestions to the management team for cost saving ideas and process improvements.
