CurrentThe Spitcast Mission is to accurately predict surf in California and deliver that information as simply and efficiently as possible. Six years ago Jack had a hunch that if he could learn to code, he could create an algorithm that would accurately predict surf conditions at surf spots. Spitcast was subsequently born and we've used it every day since. Since then we (Jack and Stacey) got married, moved to San Francisco, and had a baby, but we've always held on to the dream that one day we would get to focus on Spitcast full time. Along the way, others have discovered Spitcast and have provided us with feedback that overwhelmingly asks for three things: 1) More accurate, 2) More spots, and 3) Mobile app. We totally agree and we intend to make this happen. Jack recently improved the accuracy of the algorithm and the results are blowing our minds. We're launching The Cali250 in our effort to provide forecasts for 250 spots in California. And finally, we're harnessing mobile technology to deliver this information as simply and efficiently as possible.
