About Stacey Vandenburgh
I am gifted at promoting Rochester and the Finger Lakes to the public for tourism. These skills can also be used to promote the area to students or to attract businesses for economic development. My knowledge of the area’s resources and history is deep. I enjoy building relationships with customers and reaching out to new ones in person, over the phone, at trade shoes and online. I love planning events, meeting new people and speaking in public. I suppose you would call me a “people person.”My experience working at Corn Hill Navigation and the George Eastman Museum was not limited to marketing and communication. I recruited and managed staff and volunteers. I worked with educators and tour operators to create engaging visits that would entertain and inform. I possess a deep knowledge of museum best practices and the remarkable artifacts in our area that can bring history to life.Managing the art conservation laboratory enabled me to utilize my writing skills and my knowledge of art preservation and conservation. During my tenure I wrote, reported on, and financially managed over $6M worth of grant funding. Again, I developed relationships with funding agencies and was able to tailor our requests to their funding requirements for a successful outcome. I did not write these proposals alone - I was able to connect with colleagues and combine their ideas and knowledge into successful narratives. I was also able to use my exquisite organizational skills to plan workshops and symposia in Rochester and around the world. My lifelong passion for historic preservation led me to serve over 15 years on the board of The Landmark Society of Western New York.I can be reached through my LinkedIn profile www.linkedin.com/in/stacey-vand or via email at staceyvand@gmail.com.
Listed skills include Fine Art, Art, Collections Management, Grants, and 27 others.
