I am a physiotherapist who specializes in injuries of the wrist and hand; my practice has focused on treating "from the elbow down only" for over 25 years. Since attending a course taught by a CHT in 1996 I found my niche; I became the second therapist in Calgary to achieve the Certified Hand Therapist designation (1998), and we remain a very small group in Alberta. My main goal is patient education as an important part of treatment, along with emphasis on a home program and splinting as needed. My practice is constantly evolving as I have been fortunate to work in clinics with other experienced physios, surgeons and physicians, and I am always learning from my patients as well. I am also interested in teaching other physiotherapists the intricacies of treating hand and wrist injuries, and with Group23 I have had the opportunity to mentor and expand our services to include specialized Physiotherapy Services for Hand & Wrist injuries.
Listed skills include Physical Therapy, Sports Injuries, Rehabilitation, Treatment, and 26 others.
