I have been employed at the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University for the past 23+ years within the division of Nuclear Medicine of the Department of Radiology. I am currently the Imaging Manager for the division of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT. I previously supported the cardiovascular imaging lab (nuclear cardiology) at the Richard M Ross Heart Hospital. In 2005 I accepted the position as Education Program Director for the Nuclear Medicine Education Program. I enjoy my role as and education and appreciate that I am able to continue my practice in the clinic with patients at times. I have actively participated in the JRCNMT (Joint Review Committee on Educational Program in Nuclear Medicine Technology) accreditation as well as CLIA (Clinical Laboratories Improvement Amendments) Accreditation for the Nuclear Medicine Laboratory. I have assisted in the divisional accreditation for ACR (American College of Radiology) and ICANL (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) for the Nuclear Medicine laboratory. I cross trained in 3D post processesing techniques for CT and MR using TeraRecon and SyngoVia. My Education includes a BS in Nuclear Medicine and a Master of Science with an emphasis in education. I have had an article published in the Radiologic Technologist Journal.

    While maintaining my skills as a nuclear medicine technologist/PET-CT technologist, I have taken on the role as Program Director for the Nuclear Medicine Technology Education Program. In addition to the exam and camera system references below, I provide both didactic and clinical instruction to the NM trainees. Additional duties include maintaining JRCNMT Program Accreditation (Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology). I have been involved in two reaccreditation processes (2006 & 2011). I design and maintain didactic and clinical schedules for trainees. I organize didactic and clinical instructors for the education program. I communicate for improvements and maintenance of the program with the Nuclear Medicine Manager, lead technologist and Medical Advisors, as well as other support staff. I assist nuclear medicine manager in budget planning for the NM program. I maintain all records for the Nuclear Medicine Education Program. I design and maintain all related surveys for the program, including post graduate follow up surveys. Lastly, I provide support to the Nuclear Medicine manager to assist in technologist continuing education, patient care and safety and other duties required by the division.
