Executive team member of for inaugural Women's March. As the Volunteer Manager I spearheaded logistics & volunteer operations of over 200+ volunteers for this 40,000+ person march. Directing volunteer duties of the march included registration, assignments, job descriptions, day of logistics, & execution of the march along with joining in executive team meetings to strategize & combine talents with program leaders, head of security, PR/Media/Logistics team, & SDPD liaison. Partnering with marketing and communications, I tackled swag, t-shirts, & all official banners & signage for San Diego Women’s March as well as developing all vital, comprehensive email communications to volunteers regarding day of specifics and assignments. Through strong relationship building, I met and stewarded connections high-level donors including one who graciously provided over 5,000+ donuts for marchers & volunteers.

As an advisor to four of the largest school clubs in a 2000+ student public high school, I had the privilege of working with student leaders, organizers, officers, and hundreds of 9th-12th graders eager to invest their time and effort in planning events, community organizing, raising school spirit, and leading their peers. In my tenure as advisors to the Student Government Association, National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and the Classes of 2000, 2004, 2008 & 2012, I energized & empowered students to engage in social activism, to lead through example, and get involved in community initiatives. Together we conceptualized & implemented 35+ events annually (10 – 10,0000+ people & budgets of $100 - $50,000) including instituting and constructing new events such as Student-Faculty Competition now in its 20th year & ‘Flat building’ going on 15 years. Through compassion, patience, and dedication, I launched & mentored 30+ student leaders annually who were committed to innovative collaboration and mentorship creating a legacy of future change makers.

Facilitating and guiding 9th and & 11th grade classes of flexed levels for over 15+ years as a social studies teacher offered experience and opportunities to build connections and motivate young people to maximize strengths, enhance people skills, catapult leadership, & engage in service-learning projects. Through innovative lessons, creative projects, and interdisciplinary learnings, I worked to encourage students to be good humans, cultivate DEI awareness, & navigate the world with an open mind. Joining forces with faculty & staff for curriculum development, teacher interviews, & reframing school policy offered an opportunity to work as a collective entity, inspire new educators, and accelerate change.

As the Aquatics Director of an American Red Cross Learn to Swim program for 600+ campers I supervised and trained 20+ lifeguards/swim instructors, created/taught/managed swim lessons, and worked in partnership multiple stakeholders, staff, and parents to organize schedules and events, and provide a safe & fun environment for campers.
