Positions in this class are also responsible for the coordination of responses to and the resolution of problems identified by the Governor’s office, the legislature, other governmental agencies, and community organizations involving policy and program operations. The latter activities require that the incumbent work with agency staff to gain a general understanding of the significant issues and to determine the most appropriate course of action for the agency. Additionally, these positions are involved in the development of background information, testimony and other materials for the agency head, and other key department administrators, or the Governor’s office as it relates to key policy issues.
