Senior Development Manager ensures that product and service lines are designed and constructed in a consistent, high quality, and timely fashion in accordance with software development best practices. Advanced responsibilities include direction of resources outside direct domain of responsibility and delivery of projects that cross organizational boundaries. The Senior Development Manager also works closely with upper management to develop and manage the annual operating and capital budget. Technical responsibilities include: establishing strategic direction for the product/service line(s) (e.g. determine release cycles, technology decisions, and feature roadmaps), serving as a leader (or member) of various committees, and leading improvements based on industry best practices and technology advancements. The Senior Development Manager is a key thought leader and innovator for the management team and is expected to provide mentoring and coaching to other managers.
